OIL PAINTING: LANDSCAPES WITHOUT FEAR - ROBIN POPP, INSTRUCTOR
Have you always wanted to try oil painting? Do you envision yourself outdoors, painting from life, but need help taking the first step? Join us to explore the easiest, safest, most eco-friendly way to paint in oils. We’ll use the vivid beauty of the School’s rural campus as inspiration, taking a simple approach to paint on location and in the studio. The instructor brings all supplies needed, making this your time and place to try oil painting! All levels welcome.

Paint Duluth 5: Pléin Air Event & Gallery Show 2020
I will be participating again in the Paint Duluth event! Last year was my first and it’s such a load of adventure and fun. Artists from around the area and beyond come paint the downtown and other areas within a 5 mile radius of the Duluth Green/Town Center over several days. Then a gallery is set-up and artist awards presented on Sunday night at Adrian Collaborative (3150 Main Street #103, Duluth, GA 30096), with the gallery staying up for a week afterwards. In 2019, I sold my largest painting within an hour of the show’s opening, and another one later in the week (we’re allowed 3 entries)!
Would love to see you there! I may even post where I’m painting, closer to the event. Maybe! :)

this mini-course is a great introduction to art journaling! it’s designed for anyone curious about art journaling, those desiring to just experiment & play, and/or if you’re just feeling a little creatively “stuck.”
you will explore with us the marvelously expressive world of art journaling on an intro level as we create art journal backgrounds. You’ll have super-fun, rich experiences as we learn hands-on how to create beautiful background pages in a loving, NFZ (no-failure-zone)!
each week you will get 60 minutes of teaching time plus 30 minutes "studio time," where you will be able to ask questions, show your work, and otherwise interact with me and other makers you're creating with on the live Zoom call.

in this introduction to mixed media workshop, you’ll learn all kinds of fun things! Using basic mixed media supplies, you’ll create a beautiful little mini-book using manila file folders and papers created in the class. So fun, and no prior drawing or painting skills required.
this is a loving, safe, NFZ (no-failure-zone)! you’ll not only learn about yourself as you play, but also new and super-fun mixed media techniques as we create a mini-book from cover to cover.
